Watch out for singer/songwriter Maria Jordan
My latest commisioned work is for singer/songwriter Maria Jordan. We spent the day on the North Yorkshire Moors taking photographs for her album and website. The telephone in the above photograph was 'borrowed' from my flat because Maria took a liking to it at our pre-shoot meeting!
Sarahphotogirl featured in Digital SLR User magazine
I have just been written about in Digital SLR User. Although I have been the subject of numerous articles in the past, this is the first one to look at just my wedding photography. The article featured four photographers who are better know for a different genre of photography (mine is rock photography) and was titled 'Weddings as Well'. You can read the full article here.

Sarahphotogirl and Kaiser Chiefs
A while back I was filmed for BBC's Inside Out show. A TV Crew shadowed me on a couple of photoshoots (Kaiser Chiefs and iLiKETRAiNS) and filmed an exclusive interview. BBC Look North found out about this and asked me to appear on the evening news the same day. Both of these videos can be viewed here.

An introduction to a truly Victorian lady
You will notice some links to a new author called Emmaline Austere here and there around my websites. She is a very interesting and yet slightly bizarre young lady and her website is well worth a look! If you are a fan of Lemony Snicket, Philip Ardagh, Tim Burton, or the genius that is Roald Dahl then you should definitely check out her site. She needs no further introduction. Run along now.
Welcome to my shiny new website
This is the first major change to my website in over five years so please let me know what you think to it. It's a lot sleaker than the last site and a lot more modern looking. My photographs are now integrated with the Flickr online gallery and there is a blog too (obviously- you're on it)
The galleries have been streamlined - there is a lot less than there used to be but the new site is all about quality not quantity. More photos will be added on a weekly basis and there's a lot more interesting stuff to follow.
All in all it's a cleaner smarter site and a lot less pink. I hope you will agree.
